COVID-19 Quarantine and Isolation Calculator

Up to date: Up to date means a person has received all recommended COVID-19 vaccines, including any booster dose(s) when eligible.

Tested Positive With Symptoms

Everyone, regardless of vaccination status:
·         Stay home for 10 days from the day symptoms began.
·         If your symptoms are resolved after 5 days, you can leave your house.
·        Wear a mask around others for 5 additional days.
·         Children under 2 should complete a 10 day isolation period.
If you have a fever, continue to stay home until your fever resolves.

Tested Positive No Symptoms

If you are not symptomatic and have tested positive for COVID-19 then isolate for 5 days from the day you had your test done. You should wear a mask for an additional 5 days.

Close Contact NOT Up to Date

If you have been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 you will quarantine for 10 days after the date you came in contact with the positive person if you have NO symptoms.
·        Quarantine may be shortened to 5 days if you have NO symptoms and test negative on or after day 5 of quarantine.
·        You should wear a mask around others for an additional 5 days if quarantine has been shortened.
·        Stay home and get a test if symptoms develop.

Close Contact Up to Date

If you have been in close contact with confirmed COVID-19 case, and you are Up to Date. You do not need to quarantine if you have no symptoms.
·        You should wear a mask for 10 days after last exposure.
·        Get tested on day 5.
·        Stay home and get a test if symptoms develop.
